EmpowerKids–South Sudan was founded in 2014 and registered under the NGO Act 2016 (RRC Reg. No. 169). We are based in Juba, Central Equatoria State, and our Juba Demonstration Farm is at Juba 2, Gumbo-Sherikat Area. Our programmes span education, conservation agriculture, youth empowerment and civic voice. Every result we publish carries the record it comes from — training registers, harvest logs, partner placement records. Funders and evaluators can request the underlying data at any time. Our work has been validated by CAF America following a review of our governance, finances and programmes, allowing US donors to give tax-deductibly.
Mission: To empower children, youth, and farmers in South Sudan through quality education, sustainable agriculture, and civic engagement.
Vision: A South Sudan where every child can learn, every farmer can thrive, and every community has a voice.
Where We Work: Juba, Central Equatoria State; our demonstration farm in Juba 2 – Gumbo‑Sherikat; and youth activities across three states.

Executive Director
Hakim Monykuer Awuok is a public policy and governance professional with extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, currently serving as Executive Director of EmpowerKids–South Sudan. He brings expertise in strategic planning, partnership development, and programme management, driving the mission to create lasting impact for children and communities.
